Attractions, that is what interesting you may do in the Bieszczady Mountains. The Bieszczady Mountains present the unlimited opportunities for the mountain trips. It is an undeniable and commonly known landscape value of this place. But what can you do in the Bieszczady Mountains when it rains, it's cold, or in winter...? All our Guests will learn about that from the Guest-House Book, which they will receive after the arrival to our House. Contrary to some of the opinions about the Bieszczady Mountains - there are countless attractions - as an encouragement, we will present a few of them below. ACTIVE REST:Bicycle trips. The Bieszczady offer many opportunities of bicycle tourism. Many forest routes (so called "stokówki") are available for bicycle tourism. They are readably marked and uniquely beautiful. Quads and off-road with cross-country cars. Strzebowiska offers quads and cross-country cars ride on a professional track ? thrills guaranteed with the professional care and safe circumstances! Horse riding. In Strzebowiska we have several opportunities of horse riding: from cross-country trips, for people who know how to ride a horse, through lessons for adults, finishing with horse riding lessons for children. Ropes course. In the neighborhood there are several ropes courses - lots of attractions for adults and children. Skiing. The average time when the Bieszczady Mountains are covered by snow oscillates between 90 and 140 days, so it is a perfect place to do winter sports. The Bieszczady Mountains for certain cannot be compared to the Alpine paradise, so the "pros" who are used to the ski runs in the Polish or Slovakian Tatras, not mentioning those in the Alps, have the right to feel "skiing disappointment". If it comes to skiing beginners and children - for them these mountains are simply ideal. What is more, there are no crowds nor queues to the ski lifts! Cross-country skiing. The Bieszczady Mountains offer several dozen kilometers of cross-country ski runs - most of them in the Wetlina neighborhood. Sleigh rides. Snowy winter in the Bieszczady Mountains, it is an ideal time for a sleigh ride. Especially at night and with torches! Sightseeing:
Forest mini zoo in Liszna. A great attraction for children. One may get to know animals of the Polish forests and fields as well as feed some of them individually.
Bieszczady Forest Railway. Everyone, who plans to visit the Bieszczady Mountains, will hear about the famous "Bieszczady choo-choo" for certain. It is a ride in the forest through the places that look as if they were in the end of the world, where the railway tracks are the only sign of civilization closeness, on which the railway moves without any rush.

Lake Solina and a dam in Solina. Advantages of the Lake Solina do not have to be advertised. It is exquisite and enables an active rest as well as doing various water sports. In Solina there is the largest in Poland and one of the largest concrete water dams in Europe. By the dam there is a promenade: crowd, movement, razzle-dazzle atmosphere, souvenirs, candy floss, consoles, grilled sausages, ice cream, wafers etc. - simply everything what children like the most! Lviv (Ukraine). It is only 200 km from our Guest-House, and a bus may pick you up from a PKS bus stop in Strzebowiska! Medzilaborce (Slovakia) The town, close to which Andy Warhol was born. In this town you may visit the Andy Warhol museum. The Bieszczady Mountains offer much more, but our Guests will get to know about that from out Guest-House Book - you are very welcome! |
